In an early preview of typical March/April Texas weather, we were treated to a severe dryline last night about 9pm. This 1000 mile wide line of storms came complete with rotation, causing air raid sirens to sound throughout Dallas, including at my home.
Luckily, despite one section of storm that was rotating over Grapevine passing right over my house, all I was treated to was dime sized hail and torrential rain. Winds were actually surprisingly light. No damage to speak of, just some weeds caused by the warm weather that I need to kill in their infancy before they really take a set.
Now that I'm responsible for my own roof and maintenance, I'm not as happy to see the nasty storms come through as I used to be, but the rain is certainly nice. ;)
